The AJ Royal 500 suspension light from the Danish manufacturer Louis Poulsen, based on a design by architect and designer Arne Jacobsen from the early 1960s. Here in the more produced version in dark brown. A timeless classic of design at Poulsen. What stands out particularly is the simple hemispherical shape of the outer shade, which is resolved in the upper area with slats. The light projects both direct and indirect illumination. The luminous upper crown with three E27 versions primarily provides indirect lighting downwards as well as through the slats into the room. The lower socket is set in a funnel and directly illuminates the area beneath the fixture. This medium socket is ideally suited for a directed beam bulb.
