Gustavsberg vase Sweden signed Wilhelm Kage "Argenta", 1950

Vase by Wilhelm Kåge made by Gustavsberg in Sweden around 1950 with silver inlay depicting an angel with a stylised flower. Signed GUSTAVSBERG ARGENTA with the anchor 1079. Good condition. Wilhelm Kåge (1889-1960) is one of the most well-known representatives of the illustrious Swedish ceramic design of the 20th century. He was the artistic director of Gustavsberg in the 1930s and 1940s and is often referred to as the father of Swedish modernism. Kåge is represented at the National Museum of Swedish Art and Design.
