WILHELM KAGE. Vase, "ARGENTA", Studio Gustavsberg 1945, stoneware with silver decoration of a boy with flowers. Marked with factory stamps on the goods and signed with the anchor and label. GUSTAVSBERG O ARGENTA E 978 EL (signature of the painter Emil Löfdahl). Height: 15 cm. Good condition. The ARGENTA collection, now iconic with its green glaze and silver decorations, is one of the most recognisable patterns by Wilhelm Käge. Designed in the late 1920s, it was first presented at the Stockholm exhibition in 1930 and was subsequently produced by Gustavsberg, whose designer was the artistic director in the 1930s and 1940s.
