After several years of development by ray & charles eames, the herman miller lounge chair went into production in 1956. This armchair is a herman miller usa edition of the 1970s or early 1980s. The multiplex hulls plated rosewood of rio have been refined (armchair and ottoman). The black leather is original and in good condition, slightly patinated. The leather of the headrest cushion has been replaced, it is barely noticeable.
