Soft Pad EA 208 armchair with aluminum frame and leather upholstery on the chair and backrest. Produced by Herman Miller. This manufacturer's mark. 1970s. The Soft Pad chairs were designed by Charles & Ray Eames in 1969 and are considered one of the most important designs of the 20th century. Their construction and shape are similar to those of the aluminum chairs, but they are softer and more cushiony and adapt to the body. The chairs are ideal as visitor and conference chairs as well as for private use, e.g. B. for the home office or as a dining room chair. The chair has a fixed height and does not swivel.
