Armchair by Charles & Ray Eames for Herman Miller, 1970s

Lounge chair designed by Charles and Ray Eames and produced by Herman Miller in 1956. Iconic model made of moulded plywood shells, upholstered leather cushions, and a swivel base in moulded aluminium. The shells are made of several layers of moulded wood and accommodate removable cushions, which are attached to the structure with specific fasteners. The aluminium base incorporates a swivel mechanism, while rubber supports ensure the connection between the shells and the cushions. Condition: Very good original condition. Light wear consistent with age and use.
