Antique walnut display cabinet with marquetry and bronze, England, 19th century.

Walnut display cabinet made in England at the end of the 19th century, adorned with elegant inlays of rosewood and maple. The inlays, made with different types of wood, depict floral and leafy compositions decorating the molded band under the top, the uprights, and the upper corners of the glass door. The uprights are further enhanced with applications of chiselled and gilded bronze, adding a touch of refinement to the whole. The console feet and the spruce interiors complete the structure, which has a small break in the right angle of the base. A refined example of period craftsmanship, ideal for enriching interiors with a touch of history and style.
