Beautiful and important showcase library from the 19th century, featuring elegant architecture with three sections and a stunning veneer in blonde and amber tones. The central part opens with a large glass door, revealing several shelves for displaying books, collectibles, or porcelain. It is flanked by two slightly curved solid side doors. The facades are highlighted with marquetry inlays and adorned with two remarkable medallions depicting allegorical figures in the style of Antiquity, made of light wood marquetry on a dark background. Beautiful gilded bronze ornamentation, with finely crafted lock entries, small butterflies placed at the upper corners of the glass door, and elegant front legs adorned with palmettes. The slightly overhanging upper cornice and the sober lines of the piece give it a particularly elegant appearance, characteristic of the Charles X / Biedermeier taste of the first half of the 19th century. The piece shows signs of use, small accidents, losses, and visible old restorations, particularly at the cornice, consistent with its age and visible in the photographs. Dimensions: Height: 175 cm, Width: 162 cm, Depth: 46 cm. A decorative and uncommon library, interesting for the richness of its veneer, its figurative marquetry decorations, and its bronzes.
