Antique Rustic Farmhouse Folk Art Painted Bridal Cabinet 1860

Exceptional antique painted bridal wardrobe from southern Germany, specifically from the Swabian Alps, dated 1860. A special piece thanks to its beautiful rustic appearance with colourful floral panels. The wardrobe is in original, lived-in condition and has a beautiful weathered patina that gives the furniture a lot of character. The wardrobe has been fully checked, treated against old woodworm traces and finished with a transparent layer of beeswax to preserve the original painting. The wardrobe was once demountable, but to ensure sturdiness, the furniture has now been fixed. Inside there are three later added shelves. An authentic and decorative piece of furniture with a particularly beautiful patina.
