Rustic Alsatian armoire from the 17th century, Louis XIV period 1680/1

Very beautiful and authentic Alsatian wardrobe made of fir, dating from the 17th century, Louis XIV period, with an aesthetic still imbued with the spirit of Louis XIII. Its particularly rustic appearance bears witness to several centuries of history and gives it an incomparable charm. This wardrobe has likely undergone several restorations over time, while retaining about 80% of its original elements. It is worth noting that the base has probably been redone in the past, likely due to natural wear related to its great age. The piece is currently maintained with beeswax, which highlights the beautiful patina of the wood and its authentic character. Like many Germanic pieces from this period, it is designed to be disassembled into two distinct parts, thus facilitating its transport and installation. Originating from the Alsace plain, this wardrobe is primarily aimed at enthusiasts of true antiques and old regional furniture.
