Antique sideboard, Italy, 18th century

Antique Italian writing desk from the 18th century, originating from Piedmont (northern Italy). The walnut wood structure features a sloping top that opens to serve as a writing surface; a compartment, the internal space revealed by the opening of the top, organised with small drawers and spaces for stationery; and two large drawers underneath. A piece of furniture with clean lines that fits well in modern or more classic environments. It has not been restored but is in good overall condition. For better wood appearance, a re-polishing is recommended.
