Antique secretary with a drop-down in solid oak, England, late 18th - early 19th century. This is a wonderful antique English secretary in solid oak with brass fittings. It features a sturdy and stable design with lovely carved legs. Very elegant yet robust with a great presence. Beautiful wood grain and rich colour - a very nice patina overall. The interior has several compartments, drawers, and also some hidden storage spaces. It is in good original and honest condition. Please note: the current brass fittings are likely a more recent addition from the early 20th century.
