English mahogany sloping chest of drawers - England 18th - George III

Magnificent english 18th century secretary, chest of drawers or scriban desk in mahogany. This beautiful mahogany scriban desk opens with a flap concealing six drawers, six open compartments, a compartment closed by a door and 2 small secret compartments which open with columns to pull. It has four drawers in the belt (of different dimensions). Around the first drawer are two side support pulls to open the flap into a writing desk. This wonderful english secretary desk rests on four scalloped legs. The pull handles and locks are in gilded brass from the period and in the louis XV style. Very beautiful piece of furniture full of charm and a wonderful witness to the english history of the 18th century. Georgian period - england - 18th.
