Magnificent oil on canvas of size 2F depicting traditional fishing boats and lively sailing vessels in a Mediterranean port. A luminous and vibrant work, typical of coastal landscapes from the mid-20th century. This painting is signed by the artist "Bérard" in the bottom right, a notable pseudonym of the famous Lyon painter Louis Bissinger (1899-1978), recognised for his seascapes and remarkable historical background (deported painter, first prize of the city of Lyon in 1945). A detail of great value for collectors: the back of the painting features a very clear original workshop inscription, dated: "Cogolin - Souvenir de Soulac 24 July 76 M. Bérard".
