We have taken a maximum of photos of the defects so that you can assess the condition. Sold as presented. Henri Rivière (1864-1951) was a French painter, engraver, and illustrator. He began his career with drawing, then moved on to soft-ground etching, specifically aquatint, in 1882. At the same time, he started a career as a director and set designer in 1886 at the shadow theatre of the Chat Noir cabaret, enhancing performances with the creation of innovative coloured backdrops. He then dedicated himself exclusively to painting and engraving, making a significant mark in the history of etching, printmaking, wood engraving, lithography, and watercolour (he painted around a thousand watercolours).
