Bévort for years, he nevertheless had a completely different view of the craft. After all, his colors are more direct and bolder, harder and brighter. Brouwer worked more abstractly and, through these abstract paintings, arrived at a completely unique interpretation of the known. Naturally, we find many points of similarity compared to Bévort; however, the atmosphere is different and his canvases have a life of their own.
