Antique Chinese armoire hand-carved around 1880 with country-style handles.

We are delighted to offer for sale this very beautiful Chinese antique stackable wardrobe, hand-carved around 1880, featuring military-style side handles. A very rare, significant, and collectible piece of antique Chinese furniture, this item is highly decorative and represents the best type of antique as it is fully usable in a modern setting, typically for folded linen or crockery. This piece is exquisite; it is quite difficult to convey how refined this furniture is, but it resembles a work of art from every angle. The condition is period with some light signs of patina and age here and there; we have cleaned, waxed, and polished it from top to bottom. Dimensions: Height: 178 cm, Width: 78 cm, Depth: 50 cm. All measurements are taken at the widest point. The item is available for collection at our warehouses in Pulborough. Please note that vintage and original items such as leather seating will always have a natural patina in the form of creases and wear. We recommend annual waxing to prevent moisture loss. Additionally, hand-dyed leather is not recommended for prolonged exposure to direct sunlight as it may dry out and discolour.
