Vertical Japanese filing cabinet made between the end of the Meiji period and the beginning of the Taishō period, circa 1880–1926. The cabinet combines Japanese chestnut for the outer structure, valued for its strength and durability, with paulownia inside the drawers, a lightweight and stable wood that facilitates daily use.
