Ref. 2422 - late nineteenth century, this rare broc on enamelled blown glass pedestal of the verreries de la plaine saint denis whose director at the age of 27 was the master glassmaker françois théodore legras (1839-1916). Enamelled decoration with golden highlights of girls hanging lanterns (lanterns) and marked marasquin (cherry liqueur). A nod from the glassmaker for this tradition associated with the french revolution and the commemoration of the storming of the bastille recalling the day when the population of the france joined forces to form a nation in love with fundamental freedoms, individual and political, which are expressed, among other things, through the declaration of the rights of man and of the citizen (august 26, 1789). Model listed in the book of michel and vitrat of 2012 with another decoration "parade of conscripts" (photo). Beautiful piece of this glassmaker appreciated and whose coast continues to rise.
