Large scroll-shaped vase attributed to François Théodore Legras (1839 – 1916), in blown and enameled glass with floral decoration. In frosted blown glass, it is decorated with floral motifs enameled in relief and hand-painted, in shades of blue enhanced with gold. Art Nouveau period, late 19th or early 20th century. The vase is not signed. In impeccable condition without accident or trace of wear. François Théodore Legras is an important figure in the art of glassmaking. Originally from the Vosges, and having spent his childhood in a small hamlet located in the heart of the Darney forest, François Théodore Legras is a great master glassmaker of the Art Nouveau and Art Deco periods. The landscape surrounding his home during his childhood would later become his main source of inspiration. Height: 28.3 cm Diameter at the neck: 11.3 cm Diameter at the foot: 11 cm.
