Set of 2 C&B Italia Amanta modular lounge chairs by Mario Bellini, 1970

This set of 2 Amanta modular armchairs is made of a fantastic, heavyweight cobalt blue/white bouclé fabric and lightweight fiberglass shells. The armchairs have been newly upholstered and reupholstered and offer first-class seating comfort. The backrest shells show only minimal signs of aging and are in very good condition. This is a high-end Amanta set in an attractive color palette and high-quality fabric. The elements can be set up individually as a 2-seater sofa or individually. The Italian manufacturer C&B Italia was founded by Cesare Cassina and Piero Busnelli and completely taken over by Busnelli in 1973. At that time, the company was renamed B&B Italia. The Amanta armchair was designed by Mario Bellini for C&B Italia in 1963 and is one of his most famous designs.
