Pair of Plia chairs by Giancarlo Piretti for Castelli

Pair of Plia chairs designed by Giancarlo Piretti and produced by Anonima Castelli in 1969. This is an emblematic model of the 70s design, with this unique ball joint system that ensures the simultaneous opening of the three elements of the chair. Once folded, all the elements are on the same plane. Chromed steel structure, smoked plexiglass seat and backrest. They are in very good condition, no oxidation on the chrome, all the foot glides are present, the plexiglass is clear and shiny, only very light scratches from use impossible to show in a photo, and two slightly deeper scratches on one seat at the level of a ball joint (see last photo). Stamped hollow inside the frame of the seat.
