Red Plia Lucite folding chair by G. Piretti for Castelli Italy

This famous Italian folding chair from the mid-century in Lucite and red lacquered aluminium was designed in 1967 by Giancarlo Piretti for Anonima Castelli in Italy. The Plia folding chair is a true design classic, having won several awards and is also part of the MoMA collection. Its fantastic folding mechanism allows the chair to fold very flat, making it easy to store. The chair comes with the manufacturer's marking on the back. In very good condition with some signs of use due to age.
