Bamboo-style commode with marble top - Late 19th century

French commode from the 19th century in faux bamboo and marble. Style: typical of the late 19th century, made of wood imitating bamboo knots. Structure: it has four drawers with a white marble top that has been severely broken and re-glued at some point in its previous life. Important note: despite our careful packaging, we cannot guarantee that the marble top will arrive intact; it is very likely to be damaged during transport/we have chosen to keep the top but it will need to be replaced! Previous repairs are not secure at all. Feature: the uprights are decorated with hand-turned mouldings to resemble bamboo.
