Solid mahogany chest of drawers with 4 drawers

A 4-drawer chest of solid mahogany, featuring: 2 small drawers in the upper band + 2 large drawers below — typical English or Restoration layout. Round bronze/brass handles with floral chiseled decoration — very beautiful and period. Mahogany top with slightly moulded edge. Square straight legs — simple, elegant. Quality solid mahogany wood, with warm and deep visible grain. The interior of the drawer is made of secondary wood (fir or poplar) — a sign of 19th-century authenticity. Restoration / Louis-Philippe style chest. Wood: solid mahogany. Estimated period: 1820–1870. Probably of English or Franco-English origin. The 2+2 drawer layout with small upper drawers and large round bronze handles is very characteristic of English Regency/Victorian furniture or its French adaptations.
