A pair of imposing wall sconces in finely chiselled and gilded bronze, in the Louis XVI style, made in the second half of the 19th century. An elegant composition with three arms of light, adorned with a rich decoration inspired by antiquity and royal decorative arts: a ram's head in high relief, a bearded mask of mythological inspiration, crossed quivers, garlands of vine leaves and bunches of grapes, scrolls of acanthus, bows and palmettes. Work of great quality, probably from a renowned Parisian workshop active during the Second Empire. The original gilding is preserved in a beautiful warm patina. The two sconces are electrified and work perfectly. Spectacular decorative pieces, ideal for a classic interior, a historic residence, or a prestigious decoration project.
