Walnut secretary, Restoration style – Mid 19th century

This restoration secretary is a piece made of solid walnut and walnut veneer on the front. At the top, a concealed belt drawer is hidden. The drop-down front, equipped with a key and a functional lock, opens to reveal a new black leather surface, adorned with a gilded vignette and a refined central motif. Inside, two large niches and five drawers of varying sizes with brass knobs create a beautiful storage space. The lower part of the piece features three large drawers that lock, enhanced by magnificent entries and intricately designed bronze handles. The entire piece rests on rounded, shaped feet. This furniture captivates with the elegance of its lines, the richness of its materials, and the subtlety of its details. Its leather, multiple storage options, and ornamented drawers make it both practical and decorative. A true favourite for antique furniture enthusiasts. Period: Mid-19th century.
