Wall-mounted shelving unit with metal uprights, six mahogany-veneered shelves and cabinet with sliding doors. Designed by Nils (Nisse) Strinning, String series, 1950s–60s. Wall-mounted shelving unit from the “String” series, model BFB-hyllan (also known as the “Ladder Shelf”), designed by Nils (Nisse) Strinning in the 1950s–60s. The system consists of two metal uprights supporting six mahogany-veneered shelves, along with a lower cabinet fitted with sliding doors. Originally conceived in 1949 by Nils and Kajsa Strinning, this configuration represents one of the most recognizable versions of the String system, appreciated for its lightweight structure and functional approach to storage. Good condition. Shows signs of age, including wear to the cabinet corners and minor discoloration on the sliding doors. Please refer carefully to the photographs. AF766.
