Mid-century free standing two-part wall unit by Brantorps, Sweden, 1960s

This Scandinavian vintage freestanding teak wall unit was made by Bräntorps Møbelfabrik in Sweden in the 1960s. Designed as a modular and architectural storage solution, this piece perfectly reflects the functional elegance of mid-century design. It comes in two separate, independent parts and can be either treated as one piece or two, placed also in separate rooms. The size of each part of the set is H: 174 / W: 84 / D: 49.5 cm. The whole structure is supported by black-painted metal uprights contrasting warm teak wood. In addition to the open shelves, the set includes cabinets with hinged doors fitted with nice carved handles and internal shelves. The unit is finished with teak veneer on both sides, which makes it a perfect room divider. It bears the original Bräntorps nameplate on the doors, confirming its authenticity and origin. Its simple silhouette with almost no ornamentation or embellishments makes it a perfect vintage addition to any type of interior. The unit has been fully renovated. Metal parts have been repainted, and wood has been cleaned and protected with layers of Danish oil to enhance the beauty of the grain. Fantastic renovated condition.
