Poul Cadovius shelving wall unit with extendable desk or a table for Cado,

This very rare and extremely versatile rosewood wall unit with a desk was designed by Poul Cadovius for Cado in the 1960s. The addition of a full-size desk or a table was added only to a few sets out of thousands. It can have many possible uses, both at home and in an office. It can  even be used in a kitchen. Overall set size is H: 178 / W: 82 / D: 122 cm (when folded down, 172 cm when unfolded). Its craftsmanship ensures both durability and a refined appearance. The wall unit includes shelves and a large, full-size desk with an extra leaf, making it ideal as a home office. Designed originally for smaller apartments (the table can be lifted fully up and the base detached), now it is an icon of Danish functionalism from the mid-20th century. This set consists of: A full-size desk 122 cm without an extra leaf, 172 with it, 2 shelves 20 cm depth, 2 solid wood rails 148 cm long, Wooden supports. One of the standout features of Cadovius’s design is its modularity. The shelves can be rearranged effortlessly, allowing users to customize the layout according to their needs.  The unit has been renovated. The mechanism works smoothly, and all parts fit together. The wood has been cleaned and finished with a thin coat of a satin lacquer, very similar to the original one. We leave minor signs of use that do not spoil the aesthetic and only confirm its originality. Fantastic, vintage, rejuvenated condition.
