The neoclassical half-moon chest of drawers, from the 1910s-1920s. The chest features a distinctive semi-circular shape, designed to fit against a wall. It is made of quality mahogany veneer and solid wood, decorated with elegant inlay or parquetry borders. It is equipped with neoclassical ring handles, lock plates, and decorative mounts in ormolu (gilded bronze). The piece rests on elegant, tapered legs, topped with a dark, contoured marble top. It is a very refined piece of excellent construction, giving it a noble and affected appearance. Very good overall condition, consistent with age and use; slight surface wear with a splendid patina. The marble top is very heavy. There is a small chip in one corner (visible in the photos). Presence of woodworm holes (visible in the photos), preferably to be treated for better use. The piece itself is very heavy, weighing over 100 kg. Dimensions: Width 132 cm x Depth 58 cm x Height 108 cm. Made in Milan, Italy. Period: 1910s/1920s.
