Antique chest of drawers with mahogany veneer and lion heads

A precious and antique commode – Consulate period, late 18th century – with Cuban flame mahogany veneer. Black marble top (possibly more recent than the commode itself). Eight elegant ring-shaped drawer pulls with lion's head finials. Four drawers (keys not available). Very good overall condition (considering its age), solid and stable. A magnificent and flamboyant piece of furniture that will make a statement, even (and especially) in a contemporary interior.
