Pair of wall sconces with swans Empire style - bronze Petitot - Bordeaux

Superb pair of two-light wall sconces in Empire style, dating from the second half of the 20th century. Made by the famous French lighting manufacturer Petitot. Crafted in bronze. Original gilding in very good condition, showing some slight signs of wear. The wall part features a beautiful original patina in burgundy color, in perfect condition. This less common shade on this model offers a stunning contrast with the gilded bronze. The two light arms take the form of swans with outstretched wings, whose elegantly curved necks support the candle holders. The wall parts, in a diamond shape, are adorned with palmettes and leafy motifs, characteristic of the Empire decorative repertoire. Electricity installed and tested (for E14 bulbs).
