Pair of Empire style wall sconces with swans - bronze Petitot - green

Very beautiful pair of two-light wall sconces in Empire style, dating from the second half of the 20th century. Made by the famous French lighting manufacturer Petitot. Crafted in bronze. Original gilding in good condition, showing a nice shine. Note some visible defects in the last three photos, marked with red circles. The wall part features a beautiful original green patina, in very good condition, providing an elegant contrast with the gilded bronze. The two light arms take the form of swans with outstretched wings, whose elegantly curved necks support the bobeches. The wall parts, diamond-shaped, are adorned with palmettes and leafy motifs, characteristic of the Empire decorative repertoire. Electricity installed and tested (for E14 bulbs). Cardboard candles, in good condition. The sconces bear the stamp "PETITOT" on the back (see photo). > Also available in burgundy color in our Selency shop.
