Original extendable table, designed by Poul Hundevad for Hundevad & Co., Denmark, 1960s. Thanks to its compact square format and ingenious extension system, this table can be used both as a dining table and as a side table. It perfectly illustrates the balance between aesthetics and functionality that characterises mid-20th century Danish design. The top is veneered in teak and incorporates two original extensions discreetly stored under the top. The slightly rounded edges, the beautiful grain of the teak, and the delicately tapered legs give the whole piece an elegant and light silhouette. Once extended, the table offers a generous surface while maintaining its refined proportions. Condition: Carefully restored and fully cleaned. The teak veneer is in superb vintage condition with a beautiful natural patina and only a few very light signs of use. A versatile, refined, and high-quality Danish table.
