Victorian canapé upholstered in Kilim with turned mahogany legs.

We are delighted to offer for sale this very rare Victorian sofa with a mahogany frame and removable Kilim covers, filled with feather cushions. This exquisite sofa features oversized armrests, beautiful turned mahogany front legs finished with castors. The covers are in perfect condition, with pleasantly aged Kilims, and have been upholstered by a genius who matched the pattern of the backrest to the cushions, with the cushion pattern also aligning side by side down to the base of the frame. This was a complicated and skillful job. The wood has been cleaned, waxed, and polished, the covers are in good condition and can be removed for washing if the new owner wishes. Dimensions: Height: 84 cm, Width: 179 cm, Depth: 85 cm, Seat Height: 45 cm. All measurements are taken at the widest point. This item is available for collection from our warehouses in Pulborough. Condition: Good with wear consistent with age and use, slight discolouration.
