"Panama" lamp by Rietveld and Cordemeyer in original painted metal, 1955

Rare original wall lamp Panama by Wim Rietveld, preserved in exceptional original condition with the intact original yellow/green paint. An increasingly rare example of post-war Dutch industrial design, notable for its sleek lampshade, complete mechanics, and precise articulation. The arm consists of three hinges made up of eleven interlocking metal rings, allowing for a wide range of positions while remaining very firm and stable, without sagging. Fine adjustment of the arm's tension is possible using the small red ring key, discreetly stored behind the on/off switch on the wall plate. All components function correctly.
