perforated saucer-shaped table lamp by anvia nederland, the netherlands, 1950s this striking table lamp was produced by anvia nederland in the netherlands during the 1950s. the design combines a wide, saucer-shaped metal shade with an elegant curved metal arm and a low circular base, beautifully reflecting the functional yet playful character of dutch postwar design. the pale lacquered shade features a tall conical centre and a series of elongated radial perforations around its wide lower edge. when illuminated, these openings allow small accents of light to escape, emphasising the distinctive graphic form of the shade. the sculptural curved arm gives the lamp a light and balanced appearance, while the switch is conveniently positioned on the base. the lamp remains in good vintage condition, with age-related traces of use consistent with its age. a rare and highly decorative example of dutch mid-century lighting, ideal as a desk, reading or accent lamp.
