Asymmetrical Art Deco display cabinet in walnut and rosewood - 1925-1939

Technical sheet. * Period / Style: Art Deco, Poland, 1925-1939. * Materials: European walnut veneer in symmetrical matching and rosewood. The interior of the display case and the top of the shelf are veneered in tiger mahogany. The edges of the shelf are veneered in rosewood for contrast. Framework made of plywood and softwood. Edges finished with black half-round mouldings and walnut. Original sliding glass doors. * Finish: Traditional hand-applied shellac varnish, high gloss. * Dimensions: Width 148.5 cm|Height 140 cm|Depth 43 cm (Shelves: 24 cm and 26.5 cm). Description and condition. Asymmetrical design living room furniture. The upper part (display case) with rounded corners is offset from the axis of the base. It houses a zigzag interior shelf with graduated levels in tiger mahogany, flanked on the right by a vertical compartment with a solid door. The lower part (chest of drawers) opens with two doors and ends on the right with a profiled curve. The whole rests on a wide arch-shaped base. Object fully restored in cabinetmaking. Rigid and stable structure. The original sliding glass doors are well preserved, showing slight micro-scratches from normal use confirming their authenticity. The original locks operate smoothly, supplied with two brass keys. The varnish provides a clean mirror finish. Not used since its restoration, ready to install.
