We are delighted to offer for sale this very rare and highly sought-after bookcase with a mahogany frame and embossed leather panels, featuring integrated drawers. This grand piece of 19th-century English country house furniture includes embossed leather panels adorning all the doors, several height-adjustable shelves, as well as a good selection of drawers with their original brass handles. The furniture consists of two easily transportable parts, it is very large, completely solid, straight, and sturdy, demonstrating exceptional quality. We have cleaned, waxed, and polished it from top to bottom. Signs of age-related patina and use are present, as expected. Additional shelves can be made to order by a French cabinetmaker and leather specialist at cost price.
