These vintage Cesca chairs were made in Italy, most likely sometime in the 1970s. The key feature of this set is a beautifully aged caning in light brown-golden color. Vintage version of these chairs is very desirable among interior designers, especially when they are fully functional but with such patina. The chair dimensions are H: 80 / W: 46 / D: 52 cm. The world-renowned Cesca chair was designed in the 1920s by Marcel Breuer and manufactured by Thonet, Knoll, Gavina, and other companies. Throughout the 20th century, in Italy, there were numerous manufacturers, many of which were not licensed by Breuer. Some of the copies are very well done, though with good proportions, like the ones above. This particular set features a natural beechwood frame, also with patina. The contrast with chrome structure is striking. We have a table by Carlo Bartoli which would perfectly match this set. Despite the passage of time, the chairs remain in very good original vintage condition, with minor signs of use that are typical for furniture of this age.  Seat height: 47 cm.
