Cabinet - Two-Part Buffet Renaissance in Walnut, 17th Century. Rare and important two-part buffet in solid walnut from the 17th century. This piece of furniture features an architecture characteristic of late Renaissance furniture with its powerful fluted pilasters, its panels with moulded flat bands, and its abundant carved decoration. The cornice is adorned with three finely carved winged angel heads, framing the doors of the upper section. This section opens to reveal an interior originally lined with marbled paper and includes three small drawers at the front. The lower part consists of two large drawers above a storage space closed by two doors. The whole piece is appealing due to the quality of its walnut, its beautiful old patina, and its harmonious proportions. The deep mouldings, the high-relief sculptures, and the robustness of the construction testify to the craftsmanship of French workshops in the 17th century. A characterful piece of furniture, ideal for an old home, a château, or significant classical decoration. Period: 17th century. Material: solid walnut. Origin: France. Condition: Good overall condition considering its age. Wear, rubbing, and minor usage accidents are visible, particularly on the plinth and some mouldings. The original interior has been preserved with its marbled paper. Maintenance restorations have been carried out. Dimensions: Height: 178 cm. Width: 129 cm. Depth: 63 cm.
