Double body sideboard, Walnut, Renaissance period, Circa 1600

Coming from a norman mansion of the sixteenth century, this beautiful double chest with four-door sideboard is decorated with inlaid hearts for the upper part and geometric patterns in the lower part. The three drawers of the central part with wrought iron locks are alternated with sculptures of acanthus leaves. The sides of the buffet are richly carved with angel faces, garlands of fruit, vines and birds. Beautiful french work of the late sixteenth or early seventeenth century.
