Price: €950 for the pair. Very beautiful and rare pair of small Chinese display cabinets in Peranakan style, from Indonesia. These two pieces of furniture were purchased in 1982 from an antique dealer in Jakarta and have been kept in the same collection since then. Peranakan Chinese-inspired furniture, made in Indonesia, featuring remarkable carved and gilded decoration. The facades showcase numerous traditional decorations: carved dragons, floral and plant motifs, openwork elements, small animals/guardian lions, and gilded ornaments. The doors are adorned with glass and include several small drawers and storage compartments. Each piece of furniture rests on a richly carved independent base, approximately 11 cm in height. Dimensions of each piece with its base: • Height: 120 cm. • Width: 55 cm. • Depth: 29 cm. • Height of the base: 11 cm. Sold exclusively as a pair. In very good general condition considering their age, with some normal traces and wear of the gilding and wood that contribute to their patina.
