Louis XV bedside table set with 2 nightstands in wood and marble.

Louis XV style bedroom set from the late 19th or early 20th century, signed by the prestigious Parisian cabinetmaking house Marquant P., comprising a large curved tomb commode and its two matching bedside tables. Crafted with sumptuous marquetry and precious veneers of contrasting woods, the set is lavishly enhanced with chiselled gilt bronzes and topped with superb yellow veined marble tops that follow the curved shapes. This display set will naturally find its place at the heart of a master suite or an elegant character bedroom. Condition: The furniture is perfectly sound, stable, and functional, with drawers that slide easily and robust structures. The set shows a beautiful harmonious patina of use, marked by a few superficial micro-scratches and very discreet wear to the varnish consistent with its great age. These subtle marks of time preserve all the authenticity and nobility of this exceptional Parisian signature.
