Rustic Weathered Farmhouse Folk Art Painted Bridal Cabinet

Exceptional antique bridal wardrobe dating from around 1825, originating from Franconia, southern Germany. We recently found this piece in a monumental late 18th-century farmhouse, where the furniture had long ago been placed in the barn. This wardrobe immediately stands out as an extremely exclusive piece of furniture, partly due to the very special painting with refined motifs. The lived-in character combined with the rare painting gives the whole a stunning, museum-like appearance. The wardrobe is finished in a soft blue base colour with beautiful yet simple floral panels, while the sides are decorated with unique motifs. Over the years, only minimal, necessary restorations have taken place. The practical layout is still completely original (equipped with a shelf and coat hooks), as is the impressive locking mechanism. Old, sporadically present woodworm traces are visible, but of course these have been thoroughly checked and preventively treated. For transport, the wardrobe can conveniently be transported in two parts.
