Set of 2 Murano glass sommerso bowls designed by Flavio Poli for Seguso (Italy, 1960s/1970s). Made from thick, hand-blown Murano glass. Rare two-tone versions. High-quality glass craftsmanship. They work perfectly as bowls, trinket dishes, catchalls, ashtrays, or as high-end decorative objects. The "sommerso" technique was developed in Murano in the 1930s and became very popular in the 1960s/70s. The result is glass with contrasting colours, usually caused by a transparent layer. Measurements: Red bowl, dark red and transparent: width: 17 cm; depth: 12.5 cm; height: 5.5 cm. Weight: 760 g. Blue bowl, dark blue and transparent: width: 12 cm; depth: 12 cm; height: 6 cm. Weight: 450 g. Barely legible label at the bottom of the blue bowl (can be easily removed if necessary). Very good vintage condition. No chips, no cracks. The price stated is for the pair.
