Old Louis Vuitton trunk – Family trunk – Monogram canvas

Authentic old Louis Vuitton trunk in Monogram canvas, a family heirloom, preserved and passed down through my family for several generations. It belonged to my great-grandfather and bears his usage marking “JOM”, hand-painted at the time, a direct testament to its history and travels. The interior features the genuine Louis Vuitton label “Asnières-sur-Seine”, mentioning the historic workshops and the international addresses of the House: Paris (70 Champs-Élysées), Nice (4 Jardin Albert Ier), Lille (34 rue Faidherbe) and London (149 New Bond Street). The simultaneous presence of these addresses allows for precise dating of the manufacturing period between 1906 and 1914, an emblematic time for pre-war Louis Vuitton production. An internal manufacturing number is present inside the structure, partially legible (750…), with the remainder faded by time, a common phenomenon on old trunks. The trunk is offered in its original condition, without heavy restoration: canvas, wooden structure, period Louis Vuitton fittings and lock. Complete interior with original compartments and straps.
