Large antique travel trunk "Au Touriste" Paris – 100 cm. Very large antique travel trunk from the Parisian house Au Touriste, 36 bis avenue de l'Opéra in Paris. A beautiful antique piece with a strong character, featuring its patinated black canvas, wooden edges, riveted metal reinforcements and fittings, as well as its old brass plaques. The manufacturer's plaque "AU TOURISTE – 36 bis avenue de l'Opéra – PARIS – Travel and automobile articles" is still present on the front. The trunk has been carefully cleaned and restored while preserving its patina and antique appearance. The old lock positions, which had been removed over time, have been neatly filled in, and two new brass plaques have been added to harmonise the front. The interior is preserved in its original state, with its beige canvas showing natural traces, marks, and minor wear related to its age and history. A particularly interesting piece for decoration, ideal as a bed-end, coffee table, storage unit, or simply as a striking element in a vintage, industrial, chic country, or character home interior.
