Louis Vuitton antique wardrobe in jacquard canvas 1910

Louis Vuitton trunk dating from 1899 to 1904, covered in a monogrammed jacquard weave. The corner fittings, locks, and studs are made of brass. Reinforcement trim in leather. This is a cabin trunk, a small compact trunk used for storing clothes and everyday items, designed to be stored under the bed in the cabins of ocean liners. The interior is lined with fabric, while the satin lid is edged with ecru ribbons in diamond shapes. The bottom is finished with the original orange canvas.
